Intro According to the posts from Joa Ebert and Nicolas Cannasse I put my personal opinion on stack. Starting with Flash4 I see the long run of Actionscript for 10 years. It became truly a serious language since then. Back at the time, where no type-safe programming was possible and Actionscript errors were caught silently by the virtual machine, it was a pain in the ass to debug and create bigger projects. I was used to that, so I never complained the situation.

It has the ability to pan across the image, but my client wants to integrate a zoom function into it (zoom in and out of the image). It is written in AS3, so you must be fluent in that. I can provide all of the files to you.

If you want to set a maximum number of selected items in an ActionScript TileList component, there isn’t any straightforward way to do it built in.  Strangely. First, catch the itemClick event in your tile list. Then in checkMax, the basic idea is to compare the current count of selected items;  if its too long, unselect the most recently selected item.  In this example I wanted to limit it to a max of 20 selected items.
