Every once in a while, when you click on BlackBerry App World , you get a prompt to update the software. So, like the good BlackBerry owner you are, you waste no time in clicking OK to download and then install the update, despite not really knowing what it’s all about. And then you go through the hassle of rebooting your device. After all that, you go back to App World and start to browse through applications, only to see them listed in Euros rather than American dollars. That’s probably not what you expected.

Hey, let’s face it, not every guy knows how to tie a tie. Recently I had to attend my Mother’s wedding, which of course required me to have to dress up in a monkey suit and put on a tie. Yeah well, being able to put on the tie became an issue when I realized I had no idea how to actually tie it once around my neck. Knowing that my Mother would have shot me had I showed up not wearing my tie, I sought out a way to get it done up.

As we roll closer to the Storm 2 launch date a lot more videos of the device in action should be popping up. This one was posted a couple of days ago to Youtube and while it’s a great video of the Storm 2 in action, it’s not really a great depiction of how the browser may work over WiFi due to the fact no full sites were visited. Only mobile versions were used in this video and with that said, we all know mobile versions tend to load faster then the regular version of any given site.

As expected , Apple and AT&T have barred Vonage’s international calling app from VoIP over 3G/EDGE. When you’re out of Wi-Fi range, it instead redirects your call to local access numbers, where you’re charged AT&T minutes as you access Vonage’s rates. On the iPhone, Vonage calls can be made by dialing in the app, or from your imported address book—but you need to have the app open. The BlackBerry version only works over the voice network, and the iPod touch version is obviously limited to Wi-Fi.

Last day in Paris. The weather has been holding — beautiful! Everything great, except that I am literally surrounded by smokers right now. # Time change while in Europe is tough. Everyone is active in the U.S. while I’m ready to go out for a later dinner. Must.. ignore… emails.. # I uploaded a YouTube video — Timelapse: Saint-Martin canal cruise in Paris http://bit.ly/xrwLY # Headed back to the States via Boston. Wish I could stay here longer… # Wow – can’t believe the luck we had with the weather in Paris.

Its been a relaxing weekend which is sure to be blown all to hell first thing tomorrow morning as my landlord arrives, absolutely unprepared, to start working on replacing my kitchen floor. Where in holy hell is he going to put the big appliances? There’s barely enough room to put them were they already are… Grrr! Anyhow, I’m choosing not to think about it all right now. I’m doing happy things instead. I created a downloads page for Wordpress themes that I make as well as themes for my Blackberry 8900.

The last time I reviewed Color ID , it was a few updates behind. And so much has happened since. I really like the Color ID, and it has become an integrated app of my BlackBerry. Not only has it updated, but there’s also a free version available as well, and we have a surprise. Color ID is a fave app of mine, it’s a very important and integrated app on my BlackBerry. I use it for family, important friends and coworkers. Ever since the first day I tried it, I found it so useful in knowing who’s contacting me, being able to “triage” my emails, texts, and calls.
