Google is bringing features from the desktop version of Maps to its mobile apps for Symbian and Mobile smartphones.The 3.2 version of Google Maps for mobile enables users to layer multiple types of data on the screen at the same time. It’s now officially confirmed that Windows 7 build 7600.16385 is Windows 7 RTM Final build. And we are enthusiastic to know official Product release dates. For OEMs and Partners Windows 7 RTM is said to be in the final stage of component sign off, which is expected to be completed by Wednesday, July 22nd 2009. In this week, we’ve seen many people talking about Windows 7 RTM and its fake RTM 7600 build which was leaked on torrent sites. But today Microsoft has officially announced the status of Windows 7 RTM. After all major testing and validation checks, Microsoft has declared Windows 7 build 7600 as RTM. The RTM code will be available to all Microsoft and Windows 7 partners so that they can work on new Windows 7 compatible products. Windows 7 end users will have to wait till August 6th for public release of Windows 7 RTM.

Windows 7 has RTMed & will be available through various sources starting from August 6th, not to mention that the particular build 7600.16385.090713-1255 has been available on torrents for quite some time. If you’re already on a RC (or later) build or our planning to upgrade to Vista, here are some pointers & links that might be helpful. If you’re running Windows Vista Home Premium or Windows Business you’re good to go. Windows 7 will definitely perform better on your machine than Vista.

Network World – In an historic move, Microsoft on Monday submitted driver source code for inclusion in the Linux kernel under a GPLv2 license.The code consists of four drivers that are part of a technology called Linux Device Driver for Virtualization. The drivers, once added to the Linux kernel, will provide the hooks for any distribution of Linux to run on Windows Server 2008 and its Hyper-V hypervisor technology. Microsoft will provide ongoing maintenance of the code.

I just saw a Jon Box comment on Facebook (assume it was a tweet he has connected) that Windows 7 was in the can and ready for release. Within the next couple of weeks, MSDN subscribers should be able to download the final version of Windows 7 and start using it as their main OS. The Official release for the public, as I understand it, is in October. I also heard that we should see Expression 3 studio shortly, but since it was not from a Microsoft source, I am assuming it is a guess rather than “inside” information.

So last we checked in we went over the Sprint version of the HTC Snap ( hands on ; review ), which while a pretty solid WM6.1 Standard device, it did have quite a few annoyances (cough, keyboard, cough). Finally after lot of speculation, Microsoft has confirmed that Windows 7 is ready for Release Manufacturing. At Microsoft Global Exchange (MGX) Conference Steve Ballmer made this announcement. It was expected that Windows 7 RTM 7600 will be final RTM. This means that after various testing and validation checks Windows 7 is ready for release. Windows 7 Blog also confirmed that RTM is sign off. Some torrent sites are calming that final RTM is available for download.

PCWorld has reported back on their hands-on in the field use of the recently released Samsung Mondi WIMAX MID. Overall their impression seems relatively positive.  They found the device at 4.9 by 3 by 0.6 inches and 5.4 ounces relatively compact, especially for a device with a QWERTY keyboard.
