We have a pretty good feeling that the guys and gals over at Engadget had a great day, if nothing else than for the fact they interviewed Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer and got some useful tidbits from him besides the usual CEO-speak. Even before 6.5 got official, the Windows Mobile community has been toying around with post-RTM leaked builds that really amp up the finger-friendliness — thing is, no one seems to know what it is, what it’s called, when it’s coming, who will get it, or how it meshes with the upcoming release of WinMo 7 next year. Microsoft Stores Open for Business As anticipated, this morning Microsoft opened its first retail store in Scottsdale, Ariz., The same day as the Windows 7 launch. The store displays Windows 7 PC’s, along with 3rd party software; Windows phones; accessories, Zune, etc..Along with the brick and mortar store, Microsoft also opens its first online store selling basically the same PC, Laptop, Netbook, etc…from various vendors.  Trevin Chow, Senior Lead Program Manager for Microsoft Store, announced Microsoft’s online sales strategy via an October 21 blog post.
